David Staume is a philosopher, author, and screenwriter. He writes philosophy and commentary for magazines, radio, websites,
documentaries, and runs this website. His latest book 'The Atheist Afterlife - (The God of the Gaps just disappeared completely!)
will be available in 2008. David is a rationalist with a deep sense of the immensity and mystery of the cosmos.

Some of the principles that David has learned include: if you can’t say it simply, you probably don’t understand it; that even the most serious of subjects can be discussed with humour, and communicated all the more effectively because of it; and that reason is currently our best faculty to understand the world and our place in it.
David lives with his wife, Deborah, and his three children. Both he and his wife have a goal of visiting a hundred countries this lifetime. With his current count at only thirty-five he estimates that he will have to live to about a hundred and twenty-five.
