Biography

David Staume is a philosopher, author and public speaker. He writes philosophy and commentary for magazines, radio, and modernphilosophy.com. His latest book The Atheist Afterlife is available in the Bookshop.

Born in Sydney, Australia, David moved with his family to rural New South Wales as a small child. He grew up on a property that was home to kangaroos, echidnas, bearded dragons and an abundance of very big and very venomous snakes. This experience taught him to tread carefully, listen, and only poke around in dark holes if you could run very fast - lessons that have served him well in his search for truth.

Has he discovered it? No, but he has found some valuable and useful philosophies, and he shares these concepts in his books, articles, and on this web site.

David lives with his wife, Deborah, and his three children. He is currently studying at the University of London. Both he and his wife have a goal of visiting a hundred countries. With his current count at thirty-seven he estimates that he will have to live to about a hundred and twenty-five.
